If a student becomes ill or incapacitated, they authorize OCSH staff to engage the services of the local emergency medical service or physician(s) at the expense of the student to administer to immediate medical needs of the student until the student’s parents or guardians are contacted for instructions. Upon the advice of emergency medical personnel or a physician, the student may be required to be removed from OCSH for care in a medical facility, and any expense so incurred is the obligation of the student. Students must inform OCSH housing staff of any special medical requirements that the student has on a continuing basis so that such information will be available if an emergency arises.
